Get on your bike, get fit and help raise some much needed funds for charity.

Join us for a fun, challenging day cycling around Fermanagh and Tyrone on Saturday 1st June 2019. Choose from 45 or 75 mile leisure cycle. Starting and finishing at Severfield (NI) in Ballinamallard, this leisure cycle is open to all ages and abilities. Entry fee includes performance t-shirt, refreshments and BBQ at the finish for all cyclists.

Routes

King and Queen of the mountain challenge

Included in the 75 mile route and open to all participants of this route is the King & Queen of the Mountain Challenge with top prizes of £250. Plus, new for 2019 – TEAM Challenge – with fantastic prize of £300.

The winner of the Team Challenge is the lowest cumulative times of the top four members in the team in the King and Queen of the Mountain Challenge.

The Mountain challenge area will be sign posted to say ‘King & Queen of the Mountain Start’. Nearing the end of the challenge a sign will read ‘500m to finish’. The end of the challenge is just before Pigeon Top viewpoint. Please note that this route is open to the public and also two-way traffic. All cyclists should exercise caution. The feed station is situated up at the viewpoint. The area will be well marshaled and signposted. Anyone with difficulties should contact one of the marshals and assistance will be sent as required.

REGISTRATION

REGISTER ON THE DAY FROM 8.00AM

It is preferable for all cyclists to register online.

Starting & Finishing at Severfield (NI) in Ballinamallard, all cyclists whether registered online or registering on the morning of the event, should make their way to the Event Headquarters to pick up their timing chip and event t-shirt, as well as any other information they may need for the day.

TOILETS & CHANGING FACILITIES

Toilets for participants will be available in a few locations throughout the course. Showers will be available back at Event HQ

BICYCLE PARKING

Participants will be able to make use of the bicycle racks provided on site at Severfield both before and after the event if they so wish.

ROUTE MARKINGS

Once you set off from the start line the route will be marked with the use of arrow signs which will direct you around the course.

EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY

Photographs of the event will be posted online via the event’s Facebook page. A professional photographer will be on both routes and details of the photographs for purchase will be provided on the day

RIDER TIMES

At the finish line (same position as the start line) make sure you cross the line so your time is recorded. Rider times will be posted on a screen at finish area during the event.

FEED STATIONS

There will be Feed Stations located around both routes where participants can fuel up on water and basic energy foods (including Jaffa Cakes, bananas, etc). Gels and energy bars will also be available at some feed stations.

MARSHALS

There will be marshals (wearing fluorescent vests) located on the route in vehicles, motorbikes and at stationary posts.

LOST PROPERTY

If you find a piece of lost property please hand it to an event marshal/staff at Event HQ.

EMERGENCY CONTACTS

Emergency contact numbers will be made available on the day and will be printed on the wristband which should be worn at all times whilst cyclists are on the route.

All cyclists who participate in this event do so entirely at their own risk and the organisers shall have no liability for loss, damage or injury howsoever caused in or by reason of this event

MERCHANDISE

All cyclists will receive a high quality performance t-shirt. To be guaranteed your chosen t-shirt size, participants should register online before Monday 20th May 2019. For cyclists registering on the morning of the event, t-shirts will be available in various sizes on a first come first served basis.

All participants will receive a custom made medal upon completion of the cycle.
